fuel for the future
When biodiesel plant passes test, it’s
ready
Pending some final tests, a Pendleton Grain
Growers' biodiesel plant will be up and running by the
end of the month, said Keegan Duff, PGG's Bio Diesel
Coordinator.
Brian Oatman, engineer with Imerjent LCC, of Wilsonville,
is in the final stages of testing the automated plant
his company manufactured for PGG. Those tests involve
turning the unit on and letting it operate for 24 hours
while Oatman watches for any kinks that need to be worked
out.
"We're just making sure all the processes are
up to specifications," Oatman said, "We're
making sure it's doing what it's supposed to do."
